Pivot Series
Bar Feeders
Bundle feeding for bar-fed automatic lathes.
A full bundle in, bars out, one at a time.
No manual bar handling.
01 · The line
Three devices, one path from bundle to spindle
Between the bundle of raw bar on the shop floor and the cutting edge at the spindle there are three machines. All three are DHG lines, built in the United States and designed to work as one.
Pivot
Takes the bundle and releases one bar at a time to the loader.
Atlantic
Loads the bar into the lathe and pushes it through the cycle. Delivery from 2027.
Orbit
Contains the bar at the spindle so it can turn faster and quieter.
Most shops buy these three from three different suppliers and spend the first month making them agree with each other. Bought together they arrive already agreeing.
02 · What Pivot does
The bundle stops being an operator’s job
Pivot takes a full bundle of bar and releases it to the loader one bar at a time, unattended.
Without it, someone lifts bars onto the loader by hand, several times a shift, and the machine waits while he does it. It is the least skilled task in the cell and the one that most reliably stops production, because it happens when the operator is somewhere else.
The unit sits alongside the loader and works with it as one machine: the magazine holds the bundle, the separation stage takes a single bar off the top, and the transfer places it in the loader channel. The lathe never sees the difference between a bar loaded by Pivot and one loaded by hand — except that it does not have to wait for it.
The structure is closed on all sides in the DHG configuration, with the safety barriers integrated into the frame rather than added around it.
03 · Build
Built here, and serviced here
The Pivot Series is a DHG design, drawn, specified and manufactured in the United States.
A bundle feeder is not a machine anyone admires. It is a machine that must not stop, because when it stops the cell stops with it — the loader has nothing to take, and the lathe has nothing to cut. On a machine like that, the distance between you and a spare part is the specification that matters most.
That is the reason it is built where it runs. Parts are held in the United States. Installation and field service are handled by DHG and its partners, on the ground. Nothing waits for a container.
And because Pivot, Atlantic and Orbit are defined by one company, the interfaces between them are not a negotiation between three suppliers who have never met.
Configurations and delivery are quoted with the enquiry.
